  • 1. The course will give you an understanding of the SMM7 section D20 excavating and filling, E20 formwork, E41 worked finishes to in situ concrete, M60 painting / clear finishes, Q10 Kerbs / edgings, Q20 granular sub-bases to roads / pavings, Q21 in situ concrete roads / pavings, Q22 Coated macadam / asphalt roads / pavings, Q25 slab / brick pavings, Q30 Seeding / turfing, Q31 external planting, Q40 external planting and Q50  site / street furniture / equipment. How to apply these methods from the drawn information to allow the taking-off of quantities. And from the take-off to the preparation of the bill of quantities production.

    2. Provided is a pdf drawing for the example paper together with an excel file showing the method for the taking-off and bill of quantities.

    3. The assignment paper includes two PDF drawings and an Excel file showing the method for the taking-off and bill of quantities.

  • 1. Read and become familiar with section D20, E20, E41, M60, Q10, Q20, Q21, Q22, Q25, Q30, Q31, Q40, Q50 of SMM7 and the Code of Measurement.

    2. Work through the example paper referring to the drawn information and D20, E20, E41, M60, Q10, Q20, Q21, Q22, Q25, Q30, Q31, Q40, Q50 of SMM7.

    3. Attempt the assignment paper without referring to the model answer.

    4. When completed the assignment check your paper against the model answer. If necessary, refer to the documents to ensure you fully understand the paper.

    5. Finally answer the test paper and email to kenhubble@hotmail.com for assessment.

    6. After completing the module and received a pass mark in the test paper the learner will receive a Certificate.
